Profile:
It is an
herbaceous perennial
plant growing to 2 m tall, with stout, hollow, somewhat succulent
stems 5-8 cm diameter at the base of the plant. The leaves are 30–40 cm
long, tripinnate or even more finely divided, with a stout basal sheath
clasping the stem. The flowers are yellow,
produced in large compound umbels.
Uses:
- Assafoetida oil is
used for the treatment of nerve and intestinal
disorders.
- The oil relieves the
symptoms of bronchial ailments, pneumonia, whopping
cough.
- Do you often feel
fatigued? It is believed that Assafoetida oil helps to
boost your energy level.
- The oil helps in
improving the functioning of the digestive system and is
often used for curing digestive disorders.
- Assafoetida oil is
also good for rough dry skin.
